Solomon Juneau was the Milwaukees first mayor and one of the founding fathers. In 1818, Juneau came to Milwaukee as Vieaus clerk and protg, and stayed with Vieaus large family in their cramped log cabin located above the Menomonee Valley in todays Mitchell Park.
