Tokusa Side Plate 5.1 in Kabazaiku 3 oz) size is suitableThis side plate features a tokusa pattern extending from the center with a petal like design. Beloved since the Edo period (16031868 CE), this pattern of straight vertical lines is inspired by the Japanese plant tokusa, known in English as rough horsetail. It is regarded as a symbol of growth and prosperity as it grows unwaveringly upwards. With a diameter of 13 cm (5. 1 in), it is just right for serving appetizers, snacks and desserts.
