2000 Luis Pato Vinha Barrio, Portugal Melini Vineyard: Windmill vineyardThe Vinha Barrio abuts Vinha Formal to the east, in full view of the Bussaco Mountains (the western border of Do) and sits on a pocket of extremely chalky soils with intermittent dollops of sand. This is the second smallest vineyard at the Pato estate, and thus rarely produces enough fruit to be bottled as a single vineyard wine.
