This is a lovely early 1st Model Luftwaffe Dagger, made by the maker Gebrder Heller GmbH, Stahlwarenfabrik (Steelware Factory) of Marienthal bei Schweina in Thringen, Germany. It was made in the mid to late 1930s, before 1938 when the change was made to use aluminum fittings. It has plated mounts throughout all being nickel alloy plated with silver, probably with a copper flash coat. These were probably all originally
