Nine Ki-21-Ia/b's were sold by Japan to Thailand in 1940 for use by the Royal Thai Air Force against Vichy French forces in French Indochina but did not participate in the French-Thai War as its crews had not completed training

but the shape of the tag leaves more room at the center of the tag for the long unit names

This helmet, like many WWII helmets, was later reissued for use during the Korean war, as the M1 Helmet was still in service, and would remain so until 1985.
