I'm always on the lookout for beautiful vintage Japanese fans

and have kept an eye out for similar pieces since--so immediately snatched up these

with an Asian-influenced aesthetic

all but one of the original nails on the body of the box are in place

Though neither dated nor numbered

I don't think this one is especially old; the wood on the handle of one side reads "Real Ebony" and the other bears some text I cannot read followed by "France." On one short side of the handle are five little inlaid bits that look like bone. I believe intended as a clothes brush, but certainly useful for all sorts of things,
