but I understand from the seller I purchased it from that it is signed REA and dated 1949

and of course I like it for its naïveté

I just love the inventiveness of this piece and find it a truly delight-inducing thing

Ever True, Ever the Same, 19th C Punch Paper Embroidery Hand bisque cat no repairsDefinitely among my very favorite punch paper embroideries I've had this little hand has likely endured 150 years or so, remaining ever true indeed, not a stitch lost from that heart, though perhaps not exactly the same, having, I presume, lost the tips of a few fingers along the way. All the better to speak of lasting love I'd say and perhaps to subtly give a middle finger to anyone untrue! 3 1 8" t not including ribbon; 1 13 16" wide. Good
