This Japanese hand-carved cedar (Cryptomeria) horny toad is totally amazing for the manner in which its carved form brilliantly corresponds to the patterns in the grain of the wood

and the box sits on round brass or bronze feet

but think it is quite a special little piece

Yellow Plastic and Wicker Woven Vintage Flask mesopotamian some with a darker stainI think this flask is super cute, and cheerful, and seems to me the perfect one to take to a soccer or rugby game, or to throw in a backpack before heading off on a hike. There's some wear to the yellow plastic cord (mostly a little darkening at spots where it crosses the wicker) but it still looks bright, and the wicker is in perfect shape. Plus, it has a matching yellow cap! C. 1960s 70s, I'd guess. 5 3 8" tall x 2 3 4" wide x 1 3 8" deep.
