This is a very good condition Union cavalry trooper's curved Model 1860 saber made by Ames of Chicopee, Massachusetts. This particular Sword is marked with a 7 on the hilt of the sword indicating that it was originally used by the 7th Cavalry Regiment. It is in very nice honest matured condition.
