The poster reads: GUAM Marines of the Third Marine Division and the First Marine Provisional Brigade made the initial assaults of a brilliant 21 day campaign, beginning July 20, 1944 , in which Guam was retaken from a strong Japanese garrison. The natives of Guam first pre war American territory in the
