Civil War era Spencer Repeating Carbine. All parts are completely correct, and it looks to have seen long service during the war and possibly on the frontier afterwards. We do not see any signs of an arsenal refinish, and the exterior has a lovely "frontier worn" patina, showing areas of light pitting and oxidation on the metalwork.
