This is a lovely example a belt hanger for a German WWII Heer Army officer dagger. The design has two straps with spring clips at the end that attach to the hanger rings on the dagger scabbard, with the other ends attached to a square buckle, which attaches to a spring clip on the inside of the uniform. There were several different configurations of these made, but in general the Army version features a silver
