Stunning Old Presumed Persian Plate in Brilliant Color (with Many Watching Eyes!) 1920s austrian The patterns of her dressHard to beat the brilliantly colored glazing on old Persian and Ottoman pottery. This plate I believe is Persian (there is a record of it sold as part of a Persian pottery grouping by Grogan & Company auction house, Boston) and appears to have have at least a few centuries on it. I keep thinking that the sun like reddish pink form at center, surrounded by leafy greens, looks like a big joyful radish. And the border like a perimeter of all seeing eyes.
