Crafted from durable cotton corduroy, it features an acrylic pile lining and fastens with a 1950s style oval front zipper with a nickel finish. The A 2 Deck Jacket was introduced by the U. S. Navy in the 1960s as a modern successor to the earlier N 1 jacket. Designed for sailors working on open ship decks, it offered improved mobility, weather resistance, and comfort.
