It is made of dark blue wool, and has an enameled leather visor bound with patent leather, lined on the underside with lacquered paper. There is a makers tag in the plastic crown protector for Jacob Reeds Sons in Philadelphia, and is marked Size 7 . The interior leather sweatband is
