This is a very nice example of a mid 19th Century French percussion pistol, most likely made and customized for a French Army Officer. It is signed on the percussion back action lock: Manuf're. Imp. de Chtellerault J. MICHEL This really is a most elegant officer's pistol. It has fine walnut wood stock which is checkered on the grip. It is equipped with full iron mounts including original brass tipped ram rod. The
