I’ve gotten really into old landscapes that were ethereal to begin with and which age has made all the more so

All of these signs of age in this case I think only contribute to the wonderful aura of this lovely little painting

This heavy plate with a beautiful aqua green glaze and incised design of three whales circling around a triple spiral at its center was made in a limited edition by the United States Quarry Tile Company in conjunction with the Romany Spartan Ceramics Company in the 1950's

Hail Stones from Great Storm of 1870, Scarce Knowlton Brothers Stereoview latched metal box I'm guessing this old boxOne of two stereoviews today, both among my very favorites I've had. At first glance I took these for a cluster of button mushrooms, but a closer look, and the printed list on the reverse of the card, reveals these as a collection of hail stones from "the Great Storm of 1870." The compounding of the strange phenomenon that is hail with the fact of these particular hail stones having been captured as documents of a specific "Great Storm" before melting
