How much nicer to reference this sweet old perpetual calendar with lovingly hand-written inserts than to check the calendar on one's phone

I presume it dates from the late 60s or so

Here the double-portraits assume the form of leaves

I believe likely from an opposite page in the scrapbook where it was long housed

with inlaid blue enamel accentuating the details of the koi fish

Plenty of tiny dings all over and a few larger spots on the silver, but for the most part it polished up brightly and the comb itself is in very good, useable condition. The cover closes tightly over the comb, with a loop at one end of the case, I believe for wearing it on a chatelaine. Engraved with an R at
