Black and Gold Lacquer Turtle Shaped Box folk art but which seems to indicateJust a charming little vintage trinket box made of paper mache in the shape of a turtle and lacquered in gold and black. I love the geometric black patterning against the shiny gold, and how protective the shell lid feels in relation to the box below, plus those great tiny little eyes of the turtle peering out curiously on either side! Very sweet, and a great little box for stashing something special. 5" long x 3" wide x 2" tall and in great vintage
