This is a genuine Japanese late World War II 50mm Mortar, Type 89 grenade with a Type 88 instantaneous fuze. Featuring original paint with yellow bands on body and a red band at the top. Mortar is inert and can never be used as a weapon or for its original intended purpose, therefore complies with BATF guidleines governing ordnance. Still has the original safety pin and is stamped with several Japanese characters.
