This is a really phenomenal group of seed packets which were in space for 5+ years. They were taken up in the LDEF (Long Duration Exposure Facility) aboard the Space Shuttle Challenger on April 6th, 1984, and were brought back to Earth aboard the Space Shuttle Columbia on January 20th, 1990. These seeds are already a phenomenal piece of NASA history, with the added factor of having been aboard both the Challenger &
