Sweet Old Once Red Hand-sewn Tomato Pin Cushion antique razor knife sharpening stone heavyweight glass

heavyweight glass

some with hand-coloring-a few pages of representative engravings first

6" l x 2 1/4" wide x 1 1/2" and in perfectly imperfect antique condition

and lighthouse in the background

and carved of bone--I would guess Caribou bone/antler as it feels very similar materially to a couple of Inuit dolls I've had

Sweet Old Once Red Hand-sewn Tomato Pin Cushion antique razor knife sharpening stone heavyweight glassI believe this old pin cushion was meant to represent a tomato, with green felted patch on top, though the red of the hand dyed linen has very nicely faded to a soft rose. I like its very folky homemade ness, and the pins still in it all over. A sweet old thing. I forgot to measure this one, but approx 3" wide. Good condition, sturdy and sound, just as found.
