This is a very nice Early Pattern Third Reich period enameled DRK (Deutsches Rotes Kreuz) German Red Cross Schwesternschaft (Sisterhood or Nursing Staff) badge pin with gilt borders. The obverse has a white enamel central portion, with the DRK National Eagle perched on a red enamel Geneva Cross, the symbol of the DRK after the NSDAP takeover. The black border has the following text in German "blackletter" style
