Description

The manner of this graphite and colored pencil drawing makes me think it is Lakota

6 3/8" diameter x 2 1/2" tall

some darkening to the lacquer on a couple of the interior bowls

and more recently for Pukeberg and Rejmyre glass works

I found this pair in PA

c. 1500 BCE Small Round Bottomed Terra Cotta Vessel with Handle and Fine Stripe, Plus Small Second Pot travel watercolors The manner of this graphiteI purchased this from my favorite family run cabinet of curiosities antique shop in New Hampshire, and based on other pieces in the estate collection it came from (including Olmec, Mayan and Peruvian Chancay pieces), I believe is Pre Columbian, from Central or South America, and as shown it was found with an old tag on it noting 1500 BC, which would make it quite an early example.
