Now this is a lovely example of a service worn Soviet Red Army Officers Greatcoat. The coat itself does show signs of extensive use and wear, most likely on the Eastern Front early on in the war. Even by Russian standards, the weather on the Eastern Front was brutal. Temperatures plunged to 40 degrees in places, freezing German tanks and equipment, shutting down diesel engines and freezing German soldiers who were
