It is housed in a steel casing, which opens up so that the clock spring on the back can be wound, and the time adjusted. The entire clock is housed within a wooden case, likely put together by the veteran who brought it back. Because of this, we cannot check the back of the clock to retrieve the work and Luftwaffe number.
