with the pieces fitting together by way of posts and holes but my favorite thing is the numbers carved across the joints where the pieces meet

with no chips or significant scratches

with terrific backs featuring a young Hawaiian woman with cards spread out in front of her and a lei around her neck

and all in good working order: hitting either of the chipmunks will knock them back

All at the Normal Gym, in Illinois, and all for a dime! I love every inch of this so much, perhaps the drawings of clown and giraffe and elephant most of all. I'd guess maybe the event was a high school fundraiser or something along those lines, but don't know for sure but I'd love to think all of the invitations that went out were hand drawn postcards like this one, which is postmarked
