Little Celluloid Egg-Shaped Box slab-made I've found a few old

I've found a few old wooden boxes of this specific shape and just love them

Based on the plaited structure of the bottom of the basket and incorporation of raffia as the weft

Executed in a Japanese-influenced art nouveau style

perhaps the class overachiever

her head is attached to a wooden peg

Little Celluloid Egg-Shaped Box slab-made I've found a few oldJust a lovely little egg box, I believe made of celluloid, threaded on the inside perfect for holding a few pills or some precious little thing inside. The color is a nice warm caramel and the box is in great shape; it screws closed easily and stays tight. 1 1 8" long x 7 8" across. I have not found a match of this, but would guess it dates from the the 1930s or 40s.
