Antique Victorian Painted Milk Glass Easter Egg (#5) NYC Born in 1875This antique glass egg is a part of John Derian's trove of handpicked vintage & antique holiday decorations. In the late 19th and early 20th centuries, these permanent "eggs" became popular Victorian era gifts crafted from porcelain and milk glass to replace fragile natural shells. They were often hand decorated by artists with floral motifs like violets, daisies, and other spring flowers. Click here to see all of our antique easter decorations.
