but she wrote it with so many flourishes I find it very hard to read

This appears to be a rare one; I've just found one other out there held in the collection of the NY Public Library. SR Stoddard, printed along the left edge of the card, is short for Seneca Ray Stoddard, 1844 1917, American landscape photographer
