Like game boards (mostly) and painted signs (mostly), I mostly leave old carved butter and cookie presses to dealers committed to them, but occasionally I come across one I can't let go as was the case here, this found at an antique shop in Lancaster County where I tend to turn up an unexpected treasure or two. Beautiful surface to the wood, wonderful carved design, rich patina, and though it took
