Wonderful All Original Paint Decorated c. 1840s Primitive Stool, Pittsfield, NH (Great Underside, Too) folk art soldier The scallop shaped bookends featureWhen I am out and about I swear I pick up pretty much every stool I see (often having to remove a pile of other things that have been set atop it), 95 percent of the time returning it back to its spot and stacking whatever pile back on top of it. I had to travel to a couple hundred miles to find this one, and two others listed today, but they are, to my eye, really good ones. This one 1840s or so, and with those red painted stripes marching across the
