Very late 19th or early 20th century

It had been completed just two years earlier

with the wood now showing darker on the front and lighter on the back of the chair

I would guess 1900-1920 or so

The outside box definitely shows age (and it appears to have a star mark on the lid

Curious Old Stone Garden Guardian for the bathroom Very late 19th or earlyLove at first sight with this guy, though I have no idea whence he came, or what is this plank, or staff, or? he holds in one fingered hand. He's definitely done some duty as a watchman of sorts somewhere, with scrapes and wear all over, especially across the nose and chin of his very marvelous face, as well as a notable blow to the back of his head. For me a highly empathetic character who looks as if crying out for a break! 13 5 8" tall x 4 1 4" w x
