where at the very edge of the lip the wicker seems to have lost its very end

Antique Cast Iron Tassel Shaped Gate Weight 1860s no more than what itI really love this weight just as an object, looking a bit like a woman in a wide skirt, but it is also completely ready to use a weight to keep the garden gate closed, or certainly to weight all sorts of other things. Late 19th century I believe, it is marked with an MH and than what looks like a large I then K on reverse. 6 9 16" t x 2 5 8" w x 1 3 4" d and weighs about 2 pounds. Photos don't do justice to it's presence and patina; really a nice
