Germany, Third Reich. A Social Welfare Decoration, I Class, By Godet GTRexclude American Defense Service Medal with(Ehrenzeichen fr deutsche Volkspflege, I. Klasse). Instituted 1 March 1939. (1939 1944). Constructed of gilded bronze with enamels, consisting of a Geneva Cross with white enameled arms, the obverse bearing a black enameled German national eagle clutching a gilded and blackened wreathed mobile swastika, with featuring highlighted in gilt, the reverse plain, the twelve oclock arm with an integral loop connecting to a ribbed suspension ring with dual
