Sweden, Kingdom. A Cased Order of Vasa in Gold, I Class Knight, c.1900 Auction accompanied by handwritten notes from(Kungliga Vasaorden). Instituted May 29th, 1772. Type II (1860 1975). A fine example of this order, beautifully crafted in 18kt Gold, consisting of a white enameled Maltese Cross with ball finials and Swedish Royal Crowns in each quadrant, the obverse features an oval roundel presenting a vase and a sheaf encircled by a red enameled band featuring the inscription Gustaf den III. Inst. MDCCLXXII, the reverse mirroring the obverse, measuring 39. 17 mm
