The front is completed by a vertical row of six large brass buttons on the right side

each constructed of cardboard-reinforced dark green wool and bearing four bands of silver aluminum wire piping interspersed with green threaded piping

Constructed of silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon with horizontal pinback, consisting of a Shamrock Cross with ribbed borders highlighted in black, the obverse bearing the central integrated monograms of King Wilhelm II and Queen Charlotte, the reverse bearing a central raised institution date of 1916, unmarked, measuring 40. 35 mm
