A round convex disc constructed of gilded bronze alloy, on an attached red, white, and green enameled Royal Crown of St. Edward and swivel ring for suspension from its matching shortened ribbon, the obverse with a central blue enameled ring inscribed with Australia in capital letters with laurel sprigs above, the badge is decorated synthetic citrine crystals with very fine flower like
