Auction Archive Rear Admiral William Wesley Ayres(Ehrenzeichen fr Mitglieder der Feuerwehren nach 25 jhriger Dienstzeit). Instituted 24 June 1884 by King Ludwig II. (1884 1918 issue). Constructed of gilded bronze, with a period original ribbon stitched around its backplate, the reverse with a barrel hinge and horizontal pinback meeting a round wire catch, maker marked WEISS & CO., MNCHEN, measuring 43 mm (w) x 36 mm (h), in near extremely fine condition.
