Takashi Murakami: The Octopus Eats Its Own Leg Figures 70 x 95 x 25This definitive monograph traces Takashi Murakamis radical shift from traditional Nihonga painting to the globalized Superflat movement. The volume documents a career long obsession with Japans post war visual identity and the blurred lines between high art and commercial consumerism. It serves as an essential record of an artist who redefined the contemporary aesthetic landscape. Takashi Murakami The Octopus Eats Its Own Leg Hardcover 9. 5 x 12. 5
