Klasse mit Schwertern). Instituted 27 November 1838 by Grand Duke Paul Friedrich August. (1856 1918 issue). Constructed of gilded silver, on loop for suspension from its period original ribbon, consisting of a Cross Patte with crossed swords piercing the centrepiece, the obverse bearing a central raised monogram of Duke Peter Friedrich Ludwig, circumscribed by an inscription of EIN GOTT, EIN RECHT,
