Usually made with glass, resin, or plastic, it can be carved or poured into resin moulds. Sometimes inclusions are added to give it the colourful look we know opals for, but more commonly opalite is created without any additions. Opalite can also be found under the names argenon, sea opal, opal moonstone, white opalite and other similar names.
