The Model 75 or CurtissBristol Type 156 Beaufighter The Beaufighter was a heavy fighter and strike aircraft that came into service with the RAF in 1940 as a development of the Beaufort. It took on many roles including rocket armed ground attack, torpedo bomber and night fighter. As well as the RAF the Beaufighter served with the Fleet Air Arm, RCAF, USAAF, RNZAF, SAAF, RAAF and the Free Polish Air Squadron.
