Ammonite & Abalone Bracelet fossilsandgeology The history of faience isAmmonites are an extinct group of cephalopods that entered the fossil record 400 million years ago. This bracelet is made from fossil ammonite shells that are inlaid with iridescent abalone material. The abalone nacre can appear as blue, green, and even violet and shifts color within the light. Each set of ammonites is set into a fine sterling silver backing, making for a beautiful jewelry piece.
