Constructed of silvered zink, the obverse consisting of a shield bearing a raised Heer style German national eagle clutching am Iron Cross defaced by mobile swastika, situated above an inscription of CHOLM 1942, affixed with three reverse attachment prongs to a magnetic metal backplate with a field grey wool liner, the latter indicating Heer issue, unmarked, the shield measuring 39. 66 mm (w) x 65. 05 mm (h), both the backplate and
