Constructed of bronzed zink, the obverse consisting of a central circular laurel leaf wreath, surrounding a central raised Luftwaffe eagle clutching a mobile swastika while in mid flight, flanked on each side by nine oak leaves, the reverse with a single visible rivet securing the obverse eagle in place, with a block hinge and tapering horizontal pinback meeting a flat wire catch,
