Baden, Grand Duchy. A Pickelhaube Plate Archive consisting of a stylized acorn(Pickelhaubenemblem). Constructed of gilded bronze, the obverse consisting of a detailed Baden griffin clutching a sword and shield bearing a ducal emblem, above a banner bearing a raised inscription of MITT GOTT F. FUERST U. VATERLAND, (WITH GOD FOR PRINCE AND FATHERLAND), the reverse with both lugs intact, unmarked, measuring 130 mm (w) x 115 mm (h), with moderate oxidation evident, in very fine condition.
