Constructed of silvered bronze with black enamels, the obverse consisting of a black enameled disc, bearing a silvered date of 1922 topped by oak leaves and a Stahlhelm insignia, the reverse with a crimped barrel hinge and banjo style pinback meeting a round wire catch, bearing an etched membership code and date of 10. 12. 1922., maker marked with the logo of Der Stahlhof, Magdeburg, measuring 30. 30 mm
