An Edwardian Freestanding Four Poster Bed cast iron Dipicting life stages of variousA huge Edwardian freestanding chinoiserie lacquered four poster bed, circa 1920. This freestanding bed could go in the centre of a room or against a wall, as it has identical decoration on both front and back of the headboard. This is very unusual and was probably commissioned for the centre of a room. On the headboard the chinoiserie trellis work decoration is topped with a pagoda and turned finials.
