Of French manufacture in silver with red and green enamels and incorporating a beautiful hand painted image of a lion with sun in the background, mounted to a silver six pointed star base, each star point with seven emanating rays, reverse plain, maker marked "800" on the loop, measuring 67. 40 mm (w) x 77. 45 mm (h), the badge suspended from a hanger with an intricately twisted design and loop, on an incorrect full length neck
